Job Title: HR Advisor

Line Manager: HR Manager

Based: Invergordon

Purpose of Role

1. This is a stand-alone role to support the HR team in delivering an effective generalist HR service to managers and employees within the organisation. To ensure HR tasks are completed in a timely and productive manner.

2. Provide admin support to the Private Label Team as required.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide support to management on HR issues and give advice on HR best practice for the full spectrum of issues such as employee relations, sickness, absence, health and safety, performance management, grievance and disciplinary matters to all levels.

* Be a first line point of contact for Managers and employees.

* Accurately manage all recruitment administration including selection, liaising with recruitment agencies, contracts, references and system updates.

* New start administration including induction.

* Absence: Full spectrum of absence management from maintaining records and flagging long & short term absence to disciplinary hearings.

* Take notes and support the Management team with disciplinary and grievances.

* Responsible for the admin of all benefits and rewards for all levels of employees in conjunction with the HR team.

* Responsible for employee engagement projects in conjunction with the HR team.

* Maintain, generate and update HR reports accurately and in a timely manner.

* Maintain The HR database, electronic and hard copies accurately and ensure they are kept up to date.

* Raise purchase orders for the HR department.

* Assist with ad hoc project work when required.

* Data processing.

* Filing.

* All other admin tasks assigned by the Department Manager.

* Provide cover and support to other departments where necessary.

* Manage and own your professional development in order to achieve your work objectives and your career and personal goals.

* Responsible for implementing change and ensuring buy in from key internal customers.

Personal Profile

* Degree qualified in a relevant HR subject is essential.

* Associate Member of the CIPD or be working towards this.

* 3-5 years' experience of working within a busy HR department would be advantageous.

* Knowledge of HR systems ( I Trent) would be advantageous

* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines

* Ability to coordinate and organise workload reasonably independently.

* Proficient in the use of MS packages

* Ability to work with people at all levels

* Knowledge of an office environment

* Self-starter, able to work own their own initiative

* Excellent communication skills.

There may be some travel with this role to other sites.
