Job Description

  • Frequent standing
  • Intermittently Sitting; Drive to and from locations
  • Operating high pressure pump and burner for heating fluids, using controls such as levers, pedals and buttons
  • Operating high pressure pump to circulate hot oil or water down flow lines, tubing and casing to melt and remove paraffin build-up
  • Operating high-pressure pump to test the integrity of tubing and casing
  • Observing equipment gauges and indicators and hand signals to monitor job activities and conditions
  • Lifting, carrying and laying out hoses and joints of pipe from the truck to the wellhead or battery. May be required to lift over 50 lbs.
  • Connecting and disconnecting hoses and joints of pipe using hand tools
  • Follow safe operating procedures according to specifications of jobs and equipment specifications of loads and equipment
  • Repairing, maintaining and adjusting equipment

Personal Specification

  • Must have valid class 3 driver's license and able to drive a standard transmission (18 speed).
  • Knowledge of operating high pressure equipment (fluid pumps).
  • Knowledge and understanding how the 8 million BTU burner operates.
  • Mechanical aptitude, be self-motivated.
  • Used to working in high temperatures and in remote areas.
  • Knowledge of downhole properties to quickly react to ever changing pumping operations.
  • Prefer Five years' experience in the Oilfield industry operating Hot Oiler.
  • Must wear personal protective equipment.
  • Must use JSA and follow Glencore Policies and Procedures.
  • You must pass a pre-employment physical.
