The Role

Our global retail client is currently recruiting a Head of Operations to oversee Customer Service, Logistics, Warehousing and Supply Chain Compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Customer service:

  • Work together with the Customer Service Manager ensure the day-to-day running of the customer service department
  • Ensure the team are placing and processing orders in a timely manner and order dating is accurate

Logistics:

  • Selection and management of the relationship with the freight forwarder
  • Provide guidance to the business on international shipping and compliance matters

Warehousing:

  • Manage the warehouse team, ensuring staffing levels are in line with current and forecasted workload
  • Ensure warehouse capacity including racking, pallet floor space, and shelving is used effectively

Supply Chain Compliance

  • Oversee and provide guidance to the Compliance Specialist, keeping up to date on factory audits and customer testing and social responsibility requirements
  • Ensure compliance reporting to the business is timely and accurate

Health & Safety

  • Site Lead/responsible person for the office and warehouse
  • Ensure all health and safety is maintained to an acceptable level including fire risk, electrical safety, forklift trucks, pallet racking, accident reporting, first aiders, ordering PPE etc.
  • Create risk assessments as and when required
