Head of Engineering
London - Hybrid
Great opportunity to work for a Major Integrated Energy Company as Head of Engineering to join the senior leadership team at a point when they are poised to scale up significantly.
The Role:
* Work with strategy, product marketing, architecture, security, hardware, data, and research teams and drive user and competitive research to uncover customer needs and new product value propositions in line with the businesses vision and commercial
* Provide a pan-engineering bridge between technical and business worlds whilst leading strong and productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels to understand and deliver on market needs and priorities, and evangelise the product & engineering strategy and roadmap
* Champion a lean product mindset with an emphasis on value, experimentation and continual improvement
* Ensure seamless integration between software, hardware and embedded software delivery in the context of real-time hardware/software systems
* Drive quality, rigor and robustness into overall product delivery
Required Experience:
* Degree qualified in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar relevant field desirable
* At least 5 years' experience in a comparable IT leadership role
* Understanding of embedded software delivery, validation and release
* Strong working knowledge of IT operations, systems, and developments
* Extensive experience working with both hardware and software development projects at scale
