Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Head of Discipline Engineering, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* A member of the Technical Services and HSE leadership team
* Strategic leadership of the Engineering disciplines to support the delivery of safe and efficient operations and projects development and decommissioning.
* Manage centralised engineering resources to support delivery to the assets.
* Develop and implement Design Integrity and other engineering standards
* Own the scope and quality of Engineering Standards and Engineering Procedures and Processes.
* Lead centralised engineering resources in support to asset delivery.
* Responsible for the prioritization and deployment of centralised engineering resources across operated assets and capital projects across the portfolio.
* Owner of the scope and quality of Technical Risk Management Standards.
* Ensure outsourced Engineering services are selected and implemented to ensure optimal consistency, quality and cost efficiency.
* Lead the review and adoption of new and emergent technologies.
* Provides leadership to the Technical Authorities
* Passionate about having an incident- free workplace.

* Leads and instils technical and professional excellence.
* Communicates and influences with impact, clarity and conviction.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Make challenging business decisions, balancing technical and business risk.
* Chartered Engineer; Degree in Engineering
* Significant leadership experience and a track record of delivering results through others - both in functional and line management roles.
* Role models and coaches their managers and teams and creates equal opportunities for all and treats people equally.
* A highly delivery-focused individual with excellent engineering management experience (in project or operation)
