My Client is one of the UK's largest Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contractors with a product/service portfolio ranging from M&E LV, HV, Civil Works, Instrumentation, Street Lighting, Facilities Management through to Combined Heat and Power solutions

They have an immediate requirement for an experienced Head of Bids to join our team and focus on the management and production of bid submissions within the aforementioned Mechanical & Electrical (Inc. HV) markets.

The role of the Head of Bids is to support my client by managing and developing a Contracting Bid Team that can undertake every aspect of large Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Bids valued in excess of £3m.

The outcome is for the Head of Bids to create and maintain a world-class Contracting bid function that delivers safe, professional, compelling and ultimately winning bids valued at £3m+ that uniquely articulates their value proposition and provides a solid foundation for delivery success.

The ideal candidate for this role will be degree qualified within a technical area of study, have a broad understanding of current bid strategies and have strong influencing skills. You should have good knowledge of Public & Private Sector bidding as well as significant experience of managing a Bid Team on multi-million pound projects ideally gained within the M&E Contracting industry.

As an individual you should be a motivated self-starter with a positive attitude to overcoming obstacles to solve cross-business challenges, an organised individual with excellent time management skills and a confident communicator with enhanced active listening skills.
