Group Occupational Health & Safety Manager.
The role is responsible for providing corporate leadership, support and assurance in the area of Occupational Health & Safety and will be the Group Technical Authority.
The role will support the Group Head in the development and implementation of the corporate HSES Management System.
Drive improvement across all policies, standards and procedures.
A key role in all corporate assurance processes, HSES audits, project HSES reviews and other ongoing assurance activities.
The role will provide technical support to leadership teams.
Based within HQ in London it will involve occasional travel to global units.
Management of London office HSES Committee.
Act as Group contact for liaison with industry workgroups and represent the Company in key industry forums.
Develop,establish, maintain systems to ensure the company is aware of and can respond to emerging industry standards,legislation in the areas of Occ.H&S.
Actively participate HSES Leadership Visit programmes to company offices and assets.
Routinely raise key Occ.H&S related issues, risks to functional managers.
Support the Group Head of HSES & Tech Safety in presenting to the executive and the Board of Directors as required.
Stand in for the Group Head of HSES & Tech Safety during planned or unplanned absences from the business.
Responsible for content, roll out delivery, training and improvement of all existing Occ.H&S focussed corporate HSES MS content including, Standards for Control of Work including Lifting ops, Dropped Objects, Work at Height, Confined Space, Work Equipment Occupational Health and Welfare, & Travel HSES Management.
Procedures for incident reporting, investigation and learning from incidents.
Review of Occ.H&S content in BU HSES MS ensuring alignment with corporate Polices, Standards and procedures.
Support the Group Head of HSES & Tech Safety in the development and tracking of the annual Group HSES Plan and KPIs.
Assurance
Support the Group Audit programme by acting as a key audit team member for all corporate HSES MS audits.
Support the Project Safety Review process, ensure competent Occ. H&S representation at project HSES Review, either through active participation or by review of Project HSES Reports thereby supporting the functional endorsement of developments.
Support, assist corporate and the BUs with assessing key risks (quantitative and qualitative across the E&P lifecycle and including all aspects of operations and logistics) and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are put in place.
Lead incident investigations into major incidents as and when required.
Support the BUs in preparing for engaging with regulatory authorities.
Support the BUs where requested in HSE support for project campaigns.
Member of corporate Crisis management team.
Manage the provision of medical assistance support for expats and business travellers worldwide.
Budgets to support corporate HSES risk management programmes.
Support Group Head of HSES & Tech Safety Manager in setting appropriate KPIs in areas of responsibility
Qualifications
An appropriate H&S based qualification i.e. NEBOSH Diploma
Bachelor's Degree
Demonstrable professional qualifications / competency in H&S risk assessment; incident investigation; HSES auditing
Knowledge systems, software procedures regulations
UK Occ.H&S Regs and associated codes of Practice (Inc. LOLER, PUWER, CSE, WAH, NAW, COSHH, PPE).* OHSAS18001 / ISO 45000 Standards.* IOGP H&S Standards and publications.* DROPS materials.* DNV Synergi Life (or other similar incident reporting tool)
