The Orion Group are working exclusively on behalf of a fast paced entrepreneurial business based in the outskirts of Edinburgh. Our client is looking for a Senior Finance Manager who is looking for an opportunity to progress and develop in a thriving and vibrant environment. You will be responsible for the leadership and development of the team as well as ensuring deadlines are achieved and the work is of a high standard.

Ideally you will be a fully qualified ICAS/ACMA/ACCA and have experience of leading a team and working at a senior level.

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller the main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts
  • Leadership responsibility for the Operations Finance team
  • Driving continuous improvement and adherence to processes
  • Management and monitoring of various ledgers ensuring accuracy and control
  • Financial Analysis and reporting
  • Preparation of budgets and cash flow forecasts
  • Preparation of weekly consolidated forecasts
  • Review and management of the balance sheet
  • Review of performance v's budget and a report on trends
  • Preparation of Statutory returns

You will be working with a range of systems and so having experience with ERP systems would be a definite advantage. Candidates that have worked in a group function / head office environment would be ideal. It's important that you are a keen leader of people and can demonstrate a desire to lead, develop and manage a team.

This is a fast paced and evolving business so the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage business change is essential.
