Location: Remote (South California preferred)

Contract Length: 12 months with potential for 12 month extension

Pay Rate: $40-43/hr

The Patient Assistance and Independent Education (PAIE) team ensures that healthcare providers and patients have access to meaningful independent educational resources that translate and contribute to improved health outcomes.

As a member of the PAIE organization, the Grant Administrator is responsible for working in partnership with the Grant Manager in the execution of therapeutic area (TA) grant and donation strategies in company core areas of focus.

Review the applications submitted are from qualified organizations and are grant types that improve the healthcare landscape through independent patient and medical education.

Collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure grants are processed in a compliant and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a partner with the Grant Manager in grant management and therapeutic area(s) of focus
  • Engages with internal and external stakeholders to keep abreast of each grant and ensure grant is processed in a compliant and timely manner.
  • Reviews independent medical education grants, non-medical / patient education grants and charitable donation requests to ensure alignment with TA grant strategies and priorities
  • Provides recommendations to Grant Manager
  • Supports team with relevant TA project plans, ensuring all key business objectives, goals, deliverables, and milestones are met
  • Effectively and compliantly engages with Grant Manager to align on budget needs as well as with Grant Requestors to ensure documentation is submitted correctly and in a timely fashion
  • Monitors reconciliations and ensures Grant Requestors submit reconciliations in a timely manner and ensure outcomes are uploaded prior to closing grants
  • Assists the Grant Manager with budgets by ensuring grants are reviewed in a timely manner so that the team hits their forecasts for each assigned TA budget
  • Assists the team with standard and ad-hoc reports, facilitate outcome/data gathering and aggregation with external vendors
  • Understands and abides by all internal policies and procedures and industry guidelines, including standards set by ACCME, OIG, AdvaMed and PhRMA Code
  • Approaches work with a strategic and proactive mindset, focusing on work that supports the broader enterprise mission and objectives
  • Executes work with an understanding of company business and the context within which PAIE operates
  • Supports Grant Manager in communications with internal and external stakeholders throughout the grant cycle

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience working Medical Affairs, Continuing Medical Education, Finance, Grant Management or Compliance preferred
  • Experience in assessment and evaluation of CME/CE outcomes preferred
  • Experience in creating department reports, aggregating data, and PowerPoint presentations
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service and sound decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of the legal, compliance and transparency requirements associated with grants and donations
  • Ability to work in a clear and courageous way to manage difficult conversations though direct and constructive dialogue
  • Must possess excellent verbal, written and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task priorities simultaneously with sense of urgency
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders
