Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Geoscience Data Analyst, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities Include:
Manage on a daily basis Geosciences data (interpretation studies, reference data bases) including loading, organizing, QC, editing, formatting, cleaning, repository transfer and managing access rights.
Perform searches and provide or produce inventories of the relevant Geosciences information and data knowledge.
Apply and respect company policies, procedures, standards and rules (naming conventions, organisation, workflows and confidentiality) to ensure data flow quality and adherence to deadlines.
Conduct complex data management operational tasks related to interpretation studies.
Prepare confidential data packages for Round Applications or Data Rooms and liaise with internal teams and third parties.
Organize the quality control operations in both reference and interpretation study databases by using scripts and DQM tools.
Control the databases integrity (reference, interpretation studies), continually update with incoming data, and monitor the availability of new data, also exporting and conditioning the data for preservation.
Liaise with Geoscience and Exploration teams or third parties (IS, HQ, Vendors) for dedicated applications support.
Identify and propose enhancements for data management workflows and procedures between the different applications and environments.
Contribute to the evolution and implementation of new Geosciences data management tools, methodologies, processes and perform on demand evaluations (benchmarking).
Provide data management application companionship to both geoscientists and internal team.
Participate in hands-on training and workshop operations for users.
Promote knowledge, understanding and improvement of Geosciences data management usage

Qualifications and Experience
Qualification degree: Degree in Geosciences or Data management disciplines with significant years professional experience or significant work experience in an oil exploration or production environment.
Good knowledge of geosciences data and Information Systems.
Very good knowledge of databases and data models.
Behavioral skills: motivation, organisation, initiatives, open-mindedness, adaptability, achievement orientation, team player
