Job description

GEOMATIC EXPERTISE SERVICE Background

Note: No sponsorship available, those without the right to work and reside in the EU (France), will not be considered.

The service will be carried out within an entity in charge of geospatial subjects (Topgragphie / Geodesy, GIS, Remote Sensing) our internal client supervises the characterization of offshore & onshore sites where energy production is planned (Wind, oil & gas).

Tasks to be performed:

- Organize, manage, and archive GIS data according to a standard nomenclature and directory structure.
- Ensure the acquisition, quality control and georeferencing of geographical data (topography, bathymetry, geology, geomorphology, satellite/aerial imagery).
- Ensure the integration of all relevant data within GIS studies, processing and analysis using geoprocessing tools (generation of NCDs, longitudinal profiles for flow assurance study, mapping of no-go areas, etc.).
- Analyze the feasibility of developing Oil & Gas projects or offshore wind projects by:
* Integrating environmental/societal, geophysical/geological constraints, bathymetric/topographic and the technical constraints of an area
* Define infrastructure plans and pipeline/cable routes for future development
* Produce various thematic maps
* Coordinate with geophysics, geotechnical and oceanography specialists to produce the most up-to-date infrastructure plans and pipeline routes as well as assessment documentation

Requirements:

Strong expertise in geomatics and geographic data management
Advanced GIS expertise (ESRI platform: Arcgis Pro, Arcmap, Portal for Arcgis)
Expertise in the petroleum field (Development, Infrastructure)
Advanced expertise in the field of geomatics as a whole
Programming expertise (Python/SQL)
Global Mapper & Autocad software expertise
The language of the service will be in English
