Responsibilities/Job Description:

  • Monitor and control the Pipeline on a 24 hour basis
  • To maintain pipeline operating conditions in a safe, reliable state so that pipeline system integrity is established to meet business demands
  • The position will be required to make decisions related to the operation of pipeline and compression facilities with a minimum of supervision and assistance.


Basic/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Technical degree/diploma in instrumentation or electrical field, or relevant operations experience
  • Must be able to work 12 hour day and night shifts, on a continuous rotation
  • Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working independently in an isolated work environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 2-5 years of electrical, instrumentation or control experience
  • 2-5 years of gas industry operational experience
  • Knowledge of SCADA operating systems
  • Demonstrated decision making skills
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
  • Well developed knowledge of the SET West Pipeline systems
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • 2 years of experience in a control room environment
  • Effective team skills.
