Great opportunity to work for an international E&P Company as a Flow Assurance / Production Systems Advisor.

The Flow Assurance Advisor will be a member of the Facilities Engineering Team and will be based in Houston. This team provides comprehensive value chain engineering expertise to support joint venture partnerships internationally on projects along the Atlantic Margin and to their operations in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Role:

  • The role will provide deep technical expertise to help manage the most significant flow assurance risks and vulnerabilities across the organization.
  • Ensure technical capability and strength across the flow assurance community. Provide clear, pragmatic guidance on development of multidiscipline solutions to novel/complex problems.
  • Strengthen external partnerships, drive standardization, and codify industry best practice, lessons and strategic opportunities. Leverage technology to maximize value.
  • Provide independent view on new energy and low carbon concepts, including skill development for flow assurance engineers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Process/Pipeline Engineering or an appropriate Engineering discipline preferably with Petroleum Engineering certification.
  • Proven track record of global Oil & Gas experience covering production systems engineering in both operations and development project environments.
  • Deep experience in pipeline, subsea and topsides systems operations, flow assurance and design. Knowledge of floating production systems and risers is preferable.
  • Working knowledge and demonstrable application of applicable international codes and standards (e.g. ASME, ANSI, ISO).
  • Knowledge of pipeline and subsea production system threats and an ability to assimilate and analyze data and provide risk assessments with recommendations for action.
  • Experience as an informed buyer of advanced numerical analysis (FEA, CFD) relevant to production systems would be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of simulation software (e.g. HYSYS, ASPEN) is preferred.
  • Experienced in operations and project start up, execution and close out of large-scale projects.
  • Minimum 20 years in an Engineering or E&P company.
