My client, an industry-leading international fire and security business, are looking for experienced Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineers to work on a large-scale project in North London on a contract basis.

The Job

Commission, with assistance as required, the systems being managed and liaise with the system designers to resolve technical issues which may impact on programme completion.

Ensure the installation or modification meets customer, health and safety and statutory requirements.

Correctly complete Engineer work reports, handover certificates/BSIA Certificates or checklist as appropriate.

Experience

Time served within a technical environment (fire and security). Familiar with PROFILE/MX systems.

Must possess sound electrical knowledge and have proven background through recognised apprenticeship or hold similar qualification.

Knowledge of the British Standard BS5839 (Fire).

Hold a full clean driving licence.

Ability to lift, carry and climb ladders. To carry equipment up and down ladders ensuring conformance to health and safety requirements.

Ability to use power tools to repair and/or dismantle equipment.
