International gourmet food group is seeking an experienceed Financial Accountant for their offices in Wiltshire.

The Financial Accountant will manage the period end closing process, oversee preparation of monthly accounts, submission of Group reporting, managing audit process, cashflow, treasury, insurance and other statutory reporting.

This role also includes line management responsibility for the Financial Accounting Teams for both sites.

Development of the latest SAP upgrade to make full use of new facilities and develop this across both sites to align them.

This post will require supporting many areas of the business with financial information.

  • Responsible for the monthly financial reporting process and completion of Group reporting.
  • Manage the period end close process.
  • Oversee reconciliation and agreement of inter-company accounts.
  • Oversee the preparation and input of th Group Company reporting system.
  • Oversee preparation of monthly cost centre results ensuring focus on cost control and efficiency with Departmental heads.
  • Responsible for monitoring of business cash-flow forecasts.
  • Responsible for General ledger masterdata maintenance.
  • Oversee preparation and submissions of HMRC returns including but not limited to PAYE, VAT, P11ds, PSA, INTRASTAT
  • Manage and develop the finance teams ensuring effective financial procedures are in place.
  • Ensure all finance records are kept accurately and securely in line with legislative requirements.
  • Involvement in the preparation for internal and year end audits.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Ideally holding an accounting qualification - CIMA/ACCA/ACA
  • Experience in a similar finance role is essential ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Well developed IT skills, particularly in the use of Excel
  • Experienced in the use of SAP or other ERP system
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of financial accounting systems, financial procedures and practices
  • Ability to absorb and analyse data in a timely and efficient manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with staff of all levels, particularly non-financial staff
  • Ability to communicate effectively with strong written skills
  • Strong problem solving and financial analysis skills
