One of our major clients have an excellent opportunity to join the project team as a Field Telecoms Lead on a new high profile LNG project based in Kitimat, British Columbia.

This role will be based between project office in Calgary, the yard in Yokohama (Japan) and the actual project site in Kitimat.

Accountabilities:

- Support the end-to-end delivery of the telecommunications systems supporting client in the execution phase and the telecommunication facilities intended for use during the operations phase.

- Support PACO in managing the plant telecoms scope.

- Perform technical assurance (TA2) for telecoms for client

- Oversee the delivery and performance of telecom requirements for the client - with focus to enable greatest value for the client

- Participate in FATs when needed

- Liaise with key stakeholders (PACO, Real Estate, Telecom System Integrator (TSI), infrastructure suppliers…) to gather and assure telecom requirements for the project and operations

- Manage the end-to-end execution of the Temporary and Permanent telecommunications scope including handover to Asset Operations.

- Maintain the execution strategy and the detailed execution plans for the telecommunications scope maintaining alignment with the Project Execution Strategy / Plan, IT Plan, and the EPC scope

- Contribute to the development of the Project IT Plan

- Coordinate development of the engineering deliverables for the telecommunications scope throughout the Capital Project's lifecycle. That includes but is not limited to the assurance mandatory deliverables per the client control framework

- Setup and coordinate execution interfaces between various contractors and manage quality delivery of the Temporary and Permanent Telecoms scope

- Manage delivery, operations, maintenance, and performance of the Temporary Telecoms and corporate telecoms

- Ensure a safe decommissioning of the Construction Temporary Telecoms systems and handover of Permanent Telecoms at end of project

- Demonstrate visible leadership as well as personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.

Skills & Requirements:

- Previous experience as IT project manager, telecoms discipline / design engineer, infrastructure / telecoms lead in a Capital Project is highly desirable

- Technical Authority Field Telecommunications certification (TA2) is highly desirable (or industry equivalent)

- Previous exposure to Process Automation / Control / Optimization Engineering, Upstream / Downstream environment in project engineering, project services, or discipline engineering role is also highly desirable

- Past Asset Operations organization field experience is also desirable, including hands-on delivery experience.

- Knowledge of Typical Upstream / Downstream IT infrastructure and telecom solutions

- Regulatory environment in the telecoms space, industry and Canadian

- HSSE in Projects (desirable).

- Ability to work flex hours to accommodate various locations.
