Job description

Great opportunity to work as a Facilities Engineering Manager for an Operator in London who focus on North Sea assets.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Providing technical discipline engineering management and support across the full lifecycle of developments and assets; predevelopments, development and operational assets, in doing so acting at the Facilities Engineering Authority.
  • Providing technical discipline engineering management and support across all technical disciplines, i.e. well sand-face through to point of sale.
  • Management of the delivery of technical engineering packages of work in a structured and efficient project definition and execution manner.
  • Ensure the key process safety information is maintained current and accurate across the infrastructure, in support of our obligations as license holder.
  • Fit for purpose and standardised technical design basis/company specifications incorporating key lessons learned following execution/operation of the development projects.
  • Technical management of change process is effective, with specific focus on the impact to major accident hazards and SECEs (topsides & subsea).
  • Oversight of proposed changes (MOCs) within the outsourced duty holder(s).
  • Technical oversight & assurance of brownfield modifications arising from approved technical changes.
  • Establish and maintain key technical records/models for the offshore infrastructure, e.g. company standardised basis of design & associated specifications, engineering cost estimation, network capacity model and decommissioning cost estimates.
  • Identification, development, evaluation and priorities of technical improvement opportunities & any technology evaluation and adoption.
  • Act as an educated/informed customer for value adding, efficient and cost effective use of external technical support services. Including contract management/performance management of contractor organisations.
  • Provide technical assurance/verification & proactive input to the Dutyholder and Terminal Operator in support of operational issues including trouble-shooting, debottlenecking, incident investigation, root cause analysis etc.

  • Works with teams to peer review and mature developments to and through the select gate.

Qualifications & Experience

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Chartered Engineer
  • Experience of technical engineering discipline management across both projects and operations. Has a broad understanding of all technical disciplines required to safely and efficiently manage on and offshore projects & assets.
  • A strong appreciation on major accident safety and the support/decisions to manage technical risk at all asset lifecycle stages.
