About the role:

44.01 is looking for an External Relations Officer to support communications and government relations in Oman and the UAE. Based in Muscat, but with the potential for regular travel to the UAE, the successful candidate would represent 44.01 externally to a range of audiences, including media, government, commercial partners, and community groups, and help build the company's culture internally as we grow.

What you'll do:

  • Design and implement external relations strategies for Oman and the UAE
  • Represent 44.01 externally including at events and with media/government
  • Manage 44.01's social media
  • Monitor English and Arabic-language media for references to 44.01 and issues that affect the company
  • Internal communications and culture-building
  • Draft internal and external announcements
  • Manage relationships with external providers, including design/production agencies and merchandise suppliers
  • Manage future community-engagement programmes

Who you are:

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills in English and Arabic
  • Interest in sustainability
  • Experience working in external and/or internal communications and/or government relations in Oman and/or the UAE
  • Comfort working at pace in a fast-changing environment
  • Desire to learn and grow in the role
  • Comfort working at pace and stepping outside of role when required
