Fantastic Opportunity for 2018.

Orion Group's client is a long established fabrication business serving a worldwide client base in a variety of industries including oil and gas and distillation.

They are currently looking to recruit an Estimator, based in the Moray area of Scotland.

Successful candidate must have a proven track record within an engineering / oil & gas environment, preferably fabrication including the following;

Responsible for providing detailed, accurate fabrication cost estimates that will be submitted as formal quotes to customer requests.
Coordinate estimating activity across all functions including purchasing, quality and operations.
Coordinate and prepare cost estimates for presentation to customer account managers.
Read and interpret customer requests, drawings, parts lists, specification, engineering data packages and models.

Must have working knowledge of CAD drawings Model viewers and Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to review drawings, visualise the product in detail, create a mental picture of the manufacturing methods and steps required to produce the item and estimate time required to prepare and preform each process.
Ability to work under pressure.
Have a proven record of costing projects within the machining/fabrication sectors.
