Equipment Technical Engineer

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Equipment Technical Engineer to join this company to take responsibility of for all aspects of equipment mobilisation and readiness at client's sites and offshore on vessels.

You will play a key role in helping to drive improvements with all client's equipment tasks, including supporting trialling of new equipment, technical improvements of existing equipment and establishing more efficient methods of working to assist production improvement in manpower and task efficiency You will also contribute to their equipment development activities - design, performance & software upgrades.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for setting up Maintenance control documentation with support of other members of the technical team e.g., work Instructions and check sheets to ensure equipment is compliant with safety legislation and is ready for production.
  • Assist in Maintenance and Control systems software set up (Wasp Maintenance and stock control package).
  • Interface and assist Welding Superintendent, Bevelling Superintendent Equipment Support Engineer with mobilisation of Equipment.
  • Attend project and supplier meetings as and when required.
  • Assist in compiling Equipment lessons learned from Each Project and output actions.
  • Assist in dealing with internal customers including Welding Engineers and Project Managers and their technical queries.
  • Assist in liaising with Suppliers on Technical issues.
  • Assist with drafting up technical specifications and design requirements for new equipment.
  • Technically review and prepare equipment lists for Project Mobilisation.
  • Assist with preparation of equipment requirements to meet job specifications.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role within the energy industry, preferably with offshore experience
  • Good IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office applications
