Our client is one of the largest chemical companies in Europe manufacturing a wide range of products for the Petrochemical and Oil and Gas Industries.

An Environment Engineer is required to join their team in their facility in Grangemouth.

The main responsibilities are as follows:

  • Prepare and Update of Site's PPC Permit
  • Prepare and submit the required emissions data for the Environmental Regulator, notifying management of any excursions outside operating limits
  • Participate in and lead discussions with the Environmental Regulator
  • Manage programmes to implement requirements of the PPC permit including preparation of reports and documentation
  • Monitor and audit site compliance with the requirements of PPC authorisation, iso14001 and iso50001 standards
  • Management of waste in compliance with relevant regulations
  • Management of site's Environmental Improvement plan
  • Preparation of technical scope documents for the new contracts in the environmental area and contract management (using SAP system)
  • Updating the environmental procedures for the site
  • Interact with all the departments to manage all the environmental issues related to operations and investments

You should have appropriate technical experience within a Process Industry environment, a Degree in a Chemical Engineering or similar would be preferred.
