Engineering Technician, Stirling, £29,500 to £32,500 + £3k shift premium

Our client is seeking a multi skilled maintenance Engineering Technician with electrical bias to join their team in Stirling.

For this role you will need a comprehensive range of mechanical and electrical skills. You will have the ability to fix a wide range of issues on equipment such Production Plant, Building Services, and electrical/electronic control systems.

Main Tasks:

  • Resolve reactive, planned, preventative and emergency maintenance requests submitted into computerised maintenance management system to minimise downtime.

  • Carry out installation work to the required standard, supporting production equipment adjustments including supplies and services to work equipment. Carry out mechanical/electrical installation in accordance with relevant regulations.

  • Provide practical assistance for projects and support business development.

  • Update asset history by completion of Works Order information and spares / repair requirements.

  • Undertake Health and Safety activities such as full and rapid risk assessments of tasks and occasional working under permit to work.

  • Actively contribute to company Continuous Improvement activities including Ricoh Production Way System, Kaizen, applying 5S standards in all areas and ensure all work is compliant with Health and Safety standards and risk assessments.

  • Support maintenance activities out of hours which may include occasional standby, callout and telephone support.

Experience: Good working knowledge of PLC's, Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic & Hydraulic Control Systems. Ability to work in a multi-skilled capacity in a high volume manufacturing environment.


C&G 2382 - 17th Edition Wiring Regulations

C&G 2800 Level 3 or Equivalent.

Recognised apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent.

This role is a 3 shift working pattern of Back / Early / Night Shift rotation.

Commutable from Stirling, Perth, Glasgow, Alloa, Grangemouth, Falkirk, Livingston.
