Position Description
Client is seeking an Engineering Specialist with extensive experience in Petrochemical - Aromatics Complex Processes to work with the Downstream Process Engineering Division. The candidate must have extensive experience in aromatic petrochemical processes. Successful candidates will be responsible to lead and provide the required technical and engineering support for the company's Aromatics Complex operating facilities, particularly in the areas of safety, reliability, and process optimization, by utilizing the most appropriate technologies, project support and ability to participate in reviewing PFD (Process Flow Diagram), P&IDS (Piping & Instrument Drawings), front end engineering, detailed engineering documents and provide technical support during construction and commission activities.

Minimum Requirement
As a successful candidate you will hold Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering is highly desirable.

You should have ten years of extensive design and operating experience in the petrochemical industry with minimum of 5 years in an operating plant as an Aromatics Complex process engineer.

Duties and Responsibilities
Provides expert advice and assistance to Company organizations, outside vendors, manufacturers, and design firms on matters relating to area of expertise.
Originates and carries out engineering studies to determine potential problems and remedies to existing problems resolve complex technical problems, increase revenue, optimize processes, protect the environment, or improve safety.
Develops and maintains company engineering standards and design best practices, design manuals or other documentation to enhance company profitability, safety and productivity.
Evaluates and introduces best practices and new technologies from all over the world to help the Company achieve best in class positions in the oil business.
Reviews and evaluates the capabilities of vendors and contractors to determine their acceptability to perform major services to Company.
Works on or with task forces assigned to investigate incidents or solve specific problems. Performs cost analyses and value engineering studies as appropriate.
Undertakes special assignments requiring extensive technical experience and discretion when dealing with outside organizations.
Provides engineering leadership to others assigned to assist him and acts as a professional mentor to less senior specialists and engineers.
Promotes a learning environment and implements self-development to maintain and improve expert status within his engineering specialty.
