Our Client is looking to add to their team, based in Barrow-In-Furness, on a major nuclear project.

Title: Engineering Delivery Manager

Location: Barrow-In-Furness

Duration: 12 Month Initially

Proposed Responsibilities

  • To audit designers SQEP on behalf of the project.
  • To support the AEM/EM in the development of designs. To support the Programme intelligent client capability.
  • To provide assurance to the Facilities Chief Engineer that all aspects have been carried out to an acceptable standard.
  • To liaise with other engineering areas of Barrow site to ensure best practice is applied to the engineering of Barrow Site Redevelopment Programme and a common approach and specification where appropriate.
  • To Prioritise and Report on Engineering Delivery Performance.
  • To review and accept, with the Designer, Design Submissions from the Contractor on behalf of the Design Authority.
  • To review and endorse Designer response to all Technical Queries arising from the Contractor/Sub-contractors.
  • To respond to Technical Queries arising from Stakeholders, Operations, etc.
  • To achieve Designer completion of all remaining works.
  • To close-out remaining works by Design Review and closure of Caveats and Forward Actions.
  • Ensure compliance with Plant Safety Case requirements.
  • Successful receipt of all Handover information, As-built drawings etc. following completion.

Desired Profile

  • Chartered Engineer with experience in nuclear multi-discipline build.
  • A specialisation in MEP/Mechanical design is preferred.
  • To work in the Project Engineering team, taking ownership of aspects of the engineering as required by the Area Engineering Manager.
