Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Engineer / Project Manager (Subsea Control Systems), based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities will include:
Project Management of multiple small projects
Solidworks modelling and design of subsea control systems equipment
Engineering support to operations and projects
Manage changing technology and obsolescence issues and keep products up to date with emerging customer requirements
Working to engineering codes of practice
Bid and proposal support to sales team technical and commercial
Provide direct assistance to customers when required on technical issues, including trials
Manage the labour and material spend on work packages, within agreed budgets
Work towards the collective growth and improvement of the Engineering Department and its codes of practice.
The job is primarily shore based but may involve supervising offshore campaigns

Qualifications & Experience
Confident user of 3-D cad design - preferably SolidWorks
Qualified to HNC or above with significant experience of working as a subsea or controls engineer with "hands on" skills.
Good knowledge of structure, operations, and diagnostics of subsea control systems. (Hydraulic, electro-hydraulic or mechanical aspects)
Practical skills in electrical connector assembly and/or testing or hydraulic systems testing
Subsea control system knowledge including SCM operation and testing
Able to engage confidently with client engineers to interpret requirements and define workscopes, equipment requirements and costs.
Knowledge of oil & gas processes/procedures/safety culture
Driving licence required.
