Great opportunity with our Client based in Ross-Shire or an Energy Plant Manager

The Plant Manager is expected to contribute towards the achievement of the company's strategic and operational targets and overall business aim. The role carries managerial responsibility for all phases of plant operations including: log yard operations, pellet production, electricity generation, maintenance, quality control, health and safety and environment. Your role is to increase reliability and consistency of operation, efficiency control and measurement through the development of people, plant and process.

Ensure that the business is seen as a positive contributor to the local economy/community.

Skills & Requirements

  • Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Analytical capacity to identify and address technical issues/opportunities which can impact on Energy Plant results
  • Foster a continuous improvement approach, benchmarking internally and externally to track progress
  • Superior communications skills at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead plant production and maintenance personnel in day to day activities to ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of plant and facilities;
  • Improve the organisation and efficiency of all internal processes, creating a flexible operation and ensuring effective production planning to ensure that all business objectives are met;
  • Provide a platform for growth, developing a manufacturing strategy designed around capacity, incorporating process improvement, process efficiency, preventative maintenance, plant housekeeping, and product quality;
  • Maintain Plant outputs with optimum efficiency whilst meeting statutory emissions and discharge requirements;
  • To take an active role in planning and managing the annual maintenance shutdown;
  • Analyse the causes of unplanned outages to reduce the likelihood of repetition;

To develop and maintain an efficient and accurate reporting program aligned with business KPIs.
