Qualified EMEA Financial Accountant is required for a global IT/Tech company based near Reading. The role is a permanent opportunity.

The EMEA Accountant will support the accounting and financial reporting activities of multiple entities across EMEA. They are looking for a dynamic Financial Accountant, with energy, exceptional problem solving skills, great work ethic, high efficiency and ability to work to very strict deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and journal entries for multiple EMEA entities
  • Ensure Financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations for their entities
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Intercompany billing and reconciliations
  • Preparation of quarterly variance analysis for assigned entities
  • Support year end external audit and filings for assigned entities
  • Booking of payroll journals and related accruals as required
  • Support preparation of indirect taxes for a few entities
  • Liaise with US Finance Share Services and 3rd party providers
  • Coordinate and prepare information for SOX compliance.
  • Ensure internal controls processes are adhered to minimize risk, improve efficiency and business performance.
  • Support in developing and maintaining polices, processes and procedures for International.
  • Support the International Controller with ad-hoc projects and analysis.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The ideal candidate will be a fully qualify accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or overseas equivalent) with a minimum of 3-years' industry experience in a technology company preferably.
  • US GAAP, IFRS, SOX essential.
  • SSC experience - highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Multi-tasker
  • Self-starter
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Proactive and delivery focus approach to all responsibilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Oracle or similar ERP is essential.
