An amazing opportunity has arose to work for a leading contractor as an electrical design engineer, on a major nuclear project in the South West of England. Successful candidates will be working with a team of electrical engineers tasked with the development and resolution of the engineering requirement associated with the main cabling contract for the HPC new nuclear power station. Duties will include the review and interpretation of the clients specifications followed by the production of the appropriate installation documentation.

Duties will include;

-Work with Lead Design Engineer to ensure that the design and engineering deliverables meet the client specifications and comply with the project objectives

-Maintain a collaborative attitude to maximise cooperation and shared learning with the other members of the design and engineering team

-Support Lead Design Engineer in delivering the projects on time and within budget

-Establishment and maintenance of both the extensive cable containment network and the cable routing requirements in strict compliance with the EDF cabling specification and the French nuclear installation rules

-Assist with the establishment and maintenance of risk and opportunity matrices

-Ensure the engineering requirements of the project schedule are met to enable the respective milestones and key dates to be achieved

-Maintenance of the appropriate quality management systems and records commensurate with a nuclear installation

-Financial: Value of the Design and Engineering element of the contract is circa £50m
