Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Drawings Office Manager based in Aberdeen.


Responsible for the successful design/drafting function.

Discipline specialist and is the recognised expert for the discipline. As technical authority, will provide independent oversight of projects.

Ensure the technical requirements of all activities are managed and delivered in accordance with business requirements.

Oversee and direct the design/drafting technical work, ensuring service delivery, in accordance with client and company expectation, in a timely, accurate, safe and cost effective manner.

Responsible for developing and implementing policies, standards and procedures for the design/drafting work delivered by the function.

Responsible and accountable for planning and delivery of design/drafting activities.

Consult and negotiate with Clients regarding work specifications.

Optimise the utilisation of resources to ensure revenues and profitability are maximised.

Quality assure work performed by the design/drafting team ensuring compliance and alignment to all company policies and procedures.

Engage and communicate with other management to ensure they understand current and possible future engineering activities.

Qualifications / Experience:-

Design experience within the Oil and Gas sector

HND Engineering Qualification as minimum

Experience with designs related to rig moving, mooring systems, seafastening loadout operations and mooring handling support components

Supervisory Experience

High knowledge level of CAD and AutoCAD 2D Packages

Knowledgeable of Geodetics and co-ordinate systems

Experience in managing multiple fast pace projects

Good planning and organisational skills

Effective/competent MS Office Suite User

High level of communication skills in both written and verbal
