Designers (Mechanical, Electrical & Structural)
Immediate start
6 months+ contract
£33 per hour Umbrella PAYE
Hybrid working - occasional site visits required to Rosyth

Orion are working closely with our client Babcock International to support the Design requirements for the T31 Frigate Project based at Rosyth, Fife. The Project is seeking to attract qualified Mechanical, Electrical and Structural Designers working Hybrid on an ongoing contract basis.


Experience of working through a design lifecycle with a particular focus on detail design, spatial integration reviews and design reviews; Experience of detail design governance with a particular focus on output drawing check and approval process; Knowledge of change control process when updating the revision of drawings / documentation; Ability to liaise with colleagues & stakeholders to resolve issues during the design lifecycle; Experience building HS&E requirements into design tasks


Software experience: AutoCAD 2D / 3D; AutoCAD Vault; CAD 3D shipbuilding software experience on Hexagon S3D / Foran / Tribon / Navisworks or other similar modelling packages.
