Department Head - Civil and Structural

Technical/Functional Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage a team of Civil & Structural engineers and designers as direct report.
* Provides technical leadership and assists engineers in solving complex design engineering problems
* Conduct technical audit and cold eye reviews
* Mentor engineers and designers on career development, technical effort and training
* Plans department work and develops staffing plans
* Develop staffing plans and recruiting.
* Supports business development activities in estimating the resources required for proposals including write ups on assumptions and exclusions
* Ensure strict compliance of design deliverables against project requirements and compliance to local permitting requirements.


* Good Bachelor's Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering
* 15 years of relevant experience in an engineering/consulting firm
* Able to work independently and as a team.
* Proven record of strong leadership and administrative skills
* Good familiarity with local submission requirements
* Strong track record in leading medium to large cap projects in the capacity of a C&S Lead in petroleum and chemicals industry
* Good hands on experience in using design software tools such as StaadPro, Orion, Fastrak, etc.
