The Deepwater Surveillance Engineer performs real time monitoring of digital data received from well site, possibly multiple wells concurrently, in support of well control and non-productive time prevention. Support initiatives around performance and efficiency improvements, including use of benchmarking and KPIs. This role identifies data discrepancies per operational constraints and runs preliminary analysis on operational data. The position requires a thorough understanding of LWD/MWD information and tool response, mud-logging information and interpretation, borehole construction, and rig information in conjunction with downhole activities. This role must maintain active communications between office and well site to insure second level monitoring and must follow escalation protocols when issues arise.
