Orion Group are looking for a Data Transformation Analyst for our multinational pharmaceutical client based in the Berkshire area on an initial 6-month contract with the potential to extend.

Main Responsibilities of the role

  • Work in Operational and Advanced Analytics to set direction on the implementation of big data technologies in order to ensure we make data an enterprise asset enabling advanced analytics at any level of the companies multiple Business Units.
  • Liaise with the Product Lines Operational and Advanced Analytics to define analytics capabilities, understand, Enterprise Architects, to accelerate the company's ability to meet highly challenging / current business needs, to scale and to adapt to dynamic / volatile business needs by all teams involved and infrastructure / resources.
  • Define, Develop Guided and Manage self-service analytics practice / model that would offer users access to advanced analytic capabilities to influence decision making at senior levels of the organization
  • Work in planning, developing, implementing and managing data migration / warehouse project deliverables, design documents and high level data mapping for Interfaces' specifications.
  • Define / Develop effective standards, best practices, SOPs - Standard Operating Procedures and key metrics to enhance operational stability and best performing Data Ingestion processes for Data Migration / Conversion / in-Memory Database / iMDG for BI Analytics and Data Governance.
  • Work in full analytics spectrum encompassing descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytic capabilities not limited to SAP Design Studio / Lumira, Tableau, Qlik Enterprise, Microsoft, Oracle, Pivotal products etc.

Desired Experience and profile of the successful candidate

  • Background in the data migration and data architecture fields
  • Understands Supply Chain with focus on Planning (APO, APS)
  • NEEDs to know underlying integration to ERPs and mapping to the specific tables in ERPs (SAP and JDE)
  • How to join tables with Key Values to pull data
  • It cannot be someone who just knows APO/APS, they will fail at the deliverable.
  • Basic Programming logic, they are required to write Pseudo-code in the DOMD's
  • Understands Deliver functions in ERP - inbound outbound transfers ASN's Sales Orders and how they relate to planning
  • Understands Procurement functions in ERP - Preq and POs and how they relate to planning
  • Understands MAKE functions in ERP - Process Orders Production Orders BOMs and how they relate to planning
