Orion Group is now hiring a Data Scientist to work onsite for our commercial manufacturing facility of Drugs Pharmaceuticals company in West Chester, PA.

Data Scientist Job Responsibilities:

• Develop algorithms and software solutions that integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources
• Expected to have a deep knowledge in the field of Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics & Big Data
• Hands-on experience in algorithmic development and deployment of solutions
• Expected to work both individually and as a team member, to interpret and effectively communicate insights and findings to stakeholders with great attention to detail & accuracy.

Data Scientist Qualifications:

* M.Sc./Ph.D. Degree in computer science, data science or equivalent is required

* 3-5 years of applied related experience

* Deep knowledge on various machine learning/AI technics and able to apply them into different drug R&D processes

* Working experience with relevant scripting and programming languages such as Python, R, C/C++, Java - especially with data related libraries; Hands on experience with SQL is an advantage

* Experience with Big Data and cloud computing.

* The aptitude to stay on top of emerging technologies to support new concept development

* Strong business orientation and problem-solving skills with great attention to details

* Ability to solve complex problems using creative ideas, state-of-the-art tools and best engineering practice

* Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry or Bioinformatics is not required, but is an advantage

* Excellent written and verbal communications skills; be able to communicate complex machine learning/AI concepts and algorithms to general audiences
