One of our major clients have an excellent opportunity to join the project team as a Data & Document Control Lead on a new high profile LNG project based in Kitimat, British Columbia.

This role will be based between project office in Calgary, the yard in Yokohama (Japan) and the actual project site in Kitimat.

Accountabilities:

- Enable on the ground value associated to quality, effective, and efficient Information Management (IM) in achieving corporate and project performance and goals.

- Oversight and delivery of Data/Document Management and Control supporting Project execution, transition to asset, and the corporate Venture.

- Ensure the adherence to the client specifications and procedures as they pertain to the Company and Contractor(s) delivery.

- Enable more value through continuous improvement via ongoing digitalization, automation, process simplification (including quality assurance, reporting, etc.), and increasing staff awareness and compliance (records management, information classification).

- Ensure Contractor(s) adherence to Company defined Specifications and Procedures (timely delivery, quality assurance, Company reviews); updating as required based on agreed Contractor(s) clarifications;

- Support the client teams in the delivery of Company internal information including building capability through extended IM roles (e.g. Records Focal Points)

- Lead, define, implement and ensure adherence to, Company Data and Document procedures for ongoing transmittal, progressive data and document quality control, correspondence, and archiving procedures.

- Comply with the Company Records Management for Controlled and non-Controlled documents and data.

- Create and maintain document distribution matrix on behalf of Project team.

- Support IM in the overall management of Company's Management Document and Tag register

- Ensure alignment of ongoing deliveries as per the Master Delivery Registry(s) and Project Lifecycle Information Plan

- Liaise with project teams to establish, prepare, issue, and oversee scheduled Project IM reports (status, progress, and forecast) as part of standard Project KPI functions to drive Company team performance.

- Establish and oversee the Data/Document Team management of team working areas, controlled/uncontrolled documents, informal sharing, and extranet sharing.

- Build, lead, and optimize virtual Data/Document control capabilities and services for client use.

- Drive improvements within Data/Document Control and broader IM scope through leadership, standards, behaviors, and innovation using client IM solutions (SPO/SPF/SharePoint, etc.).

- Implement solutions that educate and encourage internal and external stakeholders to become more collaborative and contribute to increased value

- Support client's delivery strategy to next project phase / Operations.

Skills & Requirements:

- Substantial experience as a Data and /or Document Management Lead in Capital Projects.

- Previous experience in both Document & Data Management is preferred.

- Experience working with Engineering Data Warehouse (EDW) systems.

- Experience working with SmartPlant Foundation as a document and/or data management tool

- Working experience with Data, Document, and Correspondence tools (SPO/SPF, SharePoint, Procon, etc.)

- Breadth and depth of knowledge of cross-discipline engineering documents (requirements and use) and discipline approval processes within project teams.

- Knowledge of Records Management principles and implementation methods.

- Strong Computer skills with skill level experience in using Company standard document control and document management systems and using (at least some of) project reporting software such as PowerBI, Crystal, Business Objects, MS Access, and Excel is essential.

- Good working knowledge of the Project Data Control and relevant processes, familiar with data-modeling methodology

- Sound understanding on the IM SoW and Information Specification, Design Engineering Practices Engineering Information Specification (EIS) and the related documents

- Knowledge of engineering applications in terms of data content, for example E-Spir, S3D, SPPID, SPEL, SPI is an asset.

- University degree in Engineering, Science or Information Technology or equivalent

- 5+ years experience working on a Major Capital project in an IM related roles.
