I'm currently recruiting for a Customer Services & Logistics Manager to join my clients FMCG site in Edinburgh. This is a permanent position, however, my client would consider an interim solution in the short term. This role is responsible for the entire Logistics and Customer Services operation for both the UK and International markets and you would be accountable for controlling the supply chain budget whilst ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of the product to all markets.

The key tasks for the role will include:

  • Embed robust procedures and practices to reduce costs and obsolescence.
  • Ensure satisfactory delivery of new products into markets.
  • Assist with bringing on board new customers.
  • Freight cost review and freight invoice approval.
  • Data reporting OTIF, returns, warehouse forecast depletions, sales volumes PO's v forecast.
  • Manage stock locations to highlight any risks on cased goods stock quantities and shelf life.
  • Build strong relationships across the supply chain.
  • Manage all supplier reviews for the logistics and customer services department.
  • Ad hoc projects.
  • SAP systems review.

You will only be considered for this role you if have a strong background of Customer Service & Logistics Management within an FMCG, Retail or Manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of implementing improvements within the supply chain and planning functions. It would be advantageous to be degree educated, however, you must have IT systems experience, ideally SAP.
