JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Coordinate with RSTO, SUN, ATMI and Operations forecasting, scheduling, and processing of Crude to three Crude Distillation Units.
  • Schedule and optimize Crude blends in Flowers scheduling software.
  • Primary backup for Refinery Coordinator (Planning & Scheduling Superintendent), Ethane & Base Chemicals Coordinator, Dock & Distllates Coordinator, Gasoline Coordinator.
  • Optimization: Focus on maximizing site economics (optimizing feedstock purchases, tactical unit operations, minimizing slowdowns) without compromising safety initiative. Continually monitor, initiate and implement recommendations to process operations to improve refinery economic position.
  • Project Development: Support capital project evaluation and development; initiate and develop studies and ideas for improved ROI, flexibility, and reliability.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for the optimization, scheduling, and direction of Crude Oil supply of operations for Port Arthur Refinery.
  • Responsible for Crude coordination & associated units in Flowers scheduling tool.
  • Backup for Refinery Coordinator (Planning & Scheduling Superintendent), Ethane & Base Chemicals Coordinator, Dock & Distillates Coordinator, Gasoline Coordinator.
  • This position is the focal point for all communication regarding Crude Oil supply and optimization at PAR.
  • This position requires knowledge of refinery processes, feeds, products, economics and logistic assets to coordinate, optimize and communicate Crude supply and constraints to a broad audience.
  • This position has direct interaction with the RSTO personnel and PAR operations for coordinating refinery activities. This position additionally has regular coordination communication with many other entities both inside and outside TOTAL to direct and coordinate the related activities.
  • This position requires versatility and expertise to back up multiple Coordinator roles and develop and support profitability projects.

REQUIRMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science - Chemical Engineering Minimum 10+ years refinery experience
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of refining operations, process design, and economic optimization
  • Strong organizational, logistics, and analytical skills; Strong written and oral communication skills to a broad audience
  • Ability to direct and take action based on available information
  • On call 24 hours/day including weekends and holiday
