Orion Group are delighted to be working with a well-known organisation based in the Outskirts of Glasgow. We are looking for an experienced credit controller who can help significantly reduce aged debt over the course of an initial 6 month fixed term contract, performing well and reducing the debt should allow for another contract extension of 6 months.

You will be joining a busy, helpful, close knit finance team and working in a modern environment which has a canteen and free on-site parking. The location of the role is accessible by public transport however it would be easier for someone who has a car.

What is involved in the role:

  • You will be first point of contact for all clients
  • Liaise closely with insurance companies to obtain settlement figures and create payment plans
  • Keep a record of calls, emails and progress
  • Communicate regularly with debtors to provide payment options and timescales
  • Liaise with line managers to report on progress and issues
  • Deal with any debt disputes from clients
  • Accounts reconciliations
  • Data input on to MS Excel
  • Adhoc tasks when required

Additional information:

  • 3/4 years' experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Any qualifications would be beneficial i.e CICM
  • Experience of CRM systems and Excel
  • Hours of work are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch
  • Holidays are accrued weekly
  • You should be available on a maximum of 1 weeks' notice
