Job description


Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Crane Maintenance Focal Point, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Delivery of Crane Maintenance Improvement Plan though PBS and EnerMech Contracts.
o Development of Crane Availability and Maintenance Dashboards
o Development of Crane Condition Maintenance Trending Reports
o Review and alignment (where possible) of Crane Inspections with Planned Maintenance Activities
o Delivery and implementation of updated crane FMECA's - All cranes
o Delivery of Obsolescence Strategy and Critical Spares Reviews - All cranes
o Complete As-building for Critical Drawing
o Review proposal for condition monitoring and make recommendations to asset teams
o Review status of crane boom structural models and make recommendations for development of working models for use in future damage assessments
o Deliver procedures for Refurbish, test and return to stock of critical equipment
* Provision of technical support to Projects team for delivery of significant crane modification and upgrade scopes.
o Development of technical scope of work for modifications
o Complete technical evaluation of tenders as required
o Participate in/contribute to safety reviews, HAZIDs etc.
o Technical review of contractor engineering deliverables
o Ensure full compliance with SECE performance standards and support their update when required
o Liaison with IVB and HSE (regulator) when required
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with site personnel through effective communication and by making regular visits to operated assets.
* Develop positive and constructive relationships with contractors and suppliers. Identify opportunities to improve contractor/supplier performance, reduce costs and improve the quality of services/products supplied.
* Assist Technical Authority-handling and lifting operations (CPLO) in carrying out this role.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Degree in Engineering/Technical Discipline.
* Strong background and experience in delivery of significant offshore pedestal crane maintenance and upgrades projects in the oil & gas industry
* Detailed knowledge of legislation/regulations/industry good practice relevant to discipline
* Significant knowledge of offshore/terminal plant and equipment and maintenance systems
* Recognised level of company expertise in technical discipline
* Effective communicator both written and verbal
