Job description

We are seeking a Course Administrator for our Further Education client based in the West End of Aberdeen. This is an interim 2 month contract commencing asap to cover a gap in the departmental staffing.

Candidates should have a proven background in office administration and be confident taking calls from the public and dealing with enquiries. Immediate availability is essential as well as being based within commutable distance to central Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Act as first point of contact and support for short course students in the School, including monitoring the Short Courses Inbox and responding to enquiries within agreed timeframe;
* Update and maintain records for short course students, including setting up and maintaining a student database, processing withdrawals, deferrals, extension requests;
* Collate materials for and liaise with External Examiners;
* Service the short course Extenuating Circumstances Panels;
* Service Short Course Assessment Boards; including: marks entry, spreadsheet preparation, production of statistical information, and Academic Appeals;
* Liaise with central departments to ensure effective short course administration;
* Manage School Office Reception role - in person enquiries, or via phone, virtual office, email when required;
* Manage School's Student Requests Inbox - processing or assigning extensions, deferrals, suspensions, transfers, appeals, etc;
* Support UG, PG, GA and IIT course administrators as and when directed by Course Coordinator, with an emphasis on UG course administration;
* Undertake other course administration tasks for the School as assigned, which may include among others:
* Academic and Non-Academic Conduct Hearings;
* Coursework moderation;
* Updating Student handbooks on CampusMoodle;
* Student attendance monitoring;
* Ensuring feedback is released within the prescribed timeframe
