Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Cost Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities include:
Deliver cost management solutions on a major, complex project.
Take responsibility and ownership for specific scope/budget area on the Penguins Redevelopment project (i.e. FPSO, Subsea, Wells, Owners Team) as required by the Lead Cost Engineer.
Manage and report Estimate at Complete, ensuring budget holder ownership in respect to forecast and phasing, maintaining a level of realism in the face of commercial pressure and optimism from project team.
Generate accurate monthly cost reports, highlighting variances from the plan on commitment, value of work done, management of change and currency fluctuations against approved budget (GIP, AFE, OP).
Analyse trends and highlight potential impacts of changes on cost.
Manage Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Time and Resource (CTR) sheets, in line with Company requirements, for agreement and sign off by budget holders.
Develop close working relationships with external vendors/suppliers to support project cost management (VOWD, variations, phasing, contract close out).
Communicate well at all levels within the project and wider organisation as required to deliver cost management for scope/budget area of responsibility.
Assist in PEER reviews and other assurance reviews.
Flexibility towards role requirements within the project team (i.e. MoC process support).

Qualifications and Experience:
Experience in Cost Engineer role on Execute projects.
SAP Blueprint
Operator experience preferred
