Are you a skilled Cost Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a major project? We are seeking a talented individual to join our Projects & Engineering Cost Team as a Cost Engineer. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering consistent, accurate, and robust cost management for or Operators North African Capital Project. This will be an ongoing contract position, primarily based in Aberdeen but with occasional travel to London and Algeria.

Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering, maintaining, and managing robust cost management frameworks, procedures, and tools.
* Compiling project budgets and supporting corporate business planning and Joint Venture budgeting requirements.
* Tracking, monitoring, and accurately reporting project commitments, value of work done (VOWD), and forecast costs.
* Providing accurate monthly reporting and contributing to overall project and business reporting cycles.
* Supporting project change control, assessing impacts on project costs, and managing contingency and allowance provisions.
* Ensuring the validity and correct coding of all project requisitions and invoiced costs.
* Providing monthly project accruals and analyzing cost trends to offer early warnings to Project Management.
* Supporting project risk review and probabilistic analysis.
* Building strong working relationships with various Company Business Groups and counterparts in Contractor organizations.
* Maintaining an audit trail on all project costs and participating in project audits as required.
* Managing the cost management system and appropriate databases.
* Contributing to project reviews and supporting other project control tasks as necessary.
* Assisting in departmental monthly reporting and strategic goals.
* Actively participating in the HSEQ strategy to meet the expectations for the Project Team.

Required Competences / Qualifications / Experience / Profile: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
* Experience of Operator Capital projects preferably on a land based (ideally desert) location.
* Degree or HNC level education in an appropriate discipline (preferred).
* Extensive experience in a cost engineering role supporting major E&P development projects (essential).
* Onshore desert construction project experience would be beneficial.
* Track record of continuous professional development.
* Willingness to learn and share knowledge with others.
* Ability to work proactively under own initiative with minimum supervision.
* Fluent in English; French would be beneficial but not mandatory.
