Job description

We are seeking a staff Cost Controller to join our Oil & Gas Service Company Client based in Westhill. They operate a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office and 2 at home plus excellent career development opportunity.

Responsibilities:
* Support accounts and finance functions
* Establishment, maintenance and reporting of project budget / forecasts on an agreed, regular basis (weekly / monthly / quarterly)
* Regular liaison with all relevant stakeholders to ensure accuracy of financial data
* Interpretation, preparation and presentation of cost reports as required
* Provision of support and assistance to project teams with upkeep of estimates, forecasts, budgets and spreadsheets, with relevant parties kept informed as required
* Develop, maintain and educate users on cost control processes and procedures
* Facilitate interfaces between relevant departments as required (such as during development of AFEs, spend requests etc.)
* Support the Financial Controller in the implementation of improvement initiatives as required
* Other related duties as required

Experience & Qualifications:
* Proven record of achievement in a similar operationally/ commercially focused finance role
* Prior in a similar role within the energy industry
* Strong communication & presentation skills
* Strong team ethic
* Professional conduct & appearance
* Positive & enthusiastic
* Ability to motivate self & others
* Good time management skills / flexible
