Job description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Control and Instrument Engineer, based in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities:
Provide instrument support to operations daily to maintain high production and water injection efficiency.
* Accountable for reviewing maintenance plans to ensure plan attainment can be met.
* Responsible for frontline support for Field Instrumentation, ICSS, Metering, Telecoms, F&G and Subsea controls.
* Liaise with technical and HSE support functions across the business.
* Raise Engineering changes and liaise as required with the Facilities Engineering function.
* Applies professional knowledge to problems and provides guidance to offshore operations.
* Work collaboratively in teams to develop plans to achieve long term objectives or implement corporate strategies.
* Identify risk and mitigating activities as well as identify barriers to implement plans accordingly.
* Consistently applies sound engineering principles and performs work in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
* Review and evaluate recommendations and actions proposed by others. Instruct, guide and train lesser-experienced professionals in development of innovative options.
* Take course of action necessary to expedite the successful accomplishment of assigned project.
* Works collaboratively and demonstrates willingness and ability to collaborate with others to achieve key results
Experience & Qualifications:
* Broad engineering experience including hands-on operations field environment and interaction with engineering discipline for project development.
* Able to balance innovation and risk in addressing operational challenges.
* Knowledgeable on performance standards and ensuring the asset are compliant with requirements of the verification scheme.
* Experience in interacting with engineering discipline and third-party contractors.
* Strong initiative and orientation towards continuous improvement.
* Experience and understanding of C&I field equipment
* Experience in control systems fundamentals
* Accountable for developing budget for C&I areas of responsibility and delivering approved budget.
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a flexible team environment.
* Ability to work independently and in a team by effectively handling cultural, political and economic differences.
* Proficient in SAP for managing work and reviewing maintenance plans
