Contracts Engineer

Location: Cardiff

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience, plus annual incentive and company car/cash allowance

My Client has over 15 years' experience delivering projects to meet the growing demands of Britain's rail infrastructure with diverse experience in design, engineering, project, reactive and maintenance works across the UK's rail network.

With the support of the wider business, you will be responsible for identifying and developing sustainable business opportunities, you will design, estimate, plan and manage the safe delivery of associated works contracts and provide a consistent workflow and optimise profit contribution to ensure all safety, quality, technical and commercial requirements are met.

Ideally you will have previous experience in a Rail environment and have a craft apprenticeship or recognised equivalent. You should have experience at BTEC or equivalent technical training level and you should have excellent management skills. You should have a proven ability to identify, develop, design, quote and deliver contracts offering a high profit contribution to the business.

You should have a thorough understanding of technical drawings and have the ability to balance customer requirements, commercial priorities and technical design to deliver consistent workflow and high profit contribution. You should have experience with contract administration and financial management contracts.
