Job description



Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Competency and Training Co-ordinator, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Support the effective management of company's competence systems by coordinating activities as defined in the relevant procedure.
* Effective use of relevant electronic systems (eComp and Mintra Training Portal) including maintaining all user information and standards of competence, creating assessment plans and ensuring the integrity of information held within the system.
* Super user for the eComp and Mintra Training Portal systems.
* Focal Point for support on the eComp and Mintra Training Portal systems for Assessors, Candidates, Internal Verifiers and general users.
* Conduct Candidate inductions for Company competence systems.
* Support training management activities by providing input into the implementation of effective training processes and systems.
* Oversee the roll out of new training initiatives and campaigns.
* Provide advice, where appropriate, to the Training Assistant on operational and industry training requirements
* Liaise with external training providers.
* Provide cover for the Training Assistant as required.
* Provide effective training and competence reporting to the business.
* Create and process purchase orders for relevant competence and training activities.
* Maintain records of training cost and track spend against budget.
* Provide support to the Senior Competence and Training Advisor relating to training and competence activities.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Well developed organisational skills.
* Able to carry out routine activities without supervision.
* Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with internal and external customers, training providers and software suppliers.
* Knowledge of operational and regulatory training requirements.
* Good understanding of MS Office suite (Especially Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Quick and accurate inputting of data.
* Attention to detail.
* Numerate.
* Understanding of operational and regulatory training requirements.
* Experience of using electronic training and competence systems.
* Knowledge of UK safety, health and environmental regulatory regime.
* Secondary education certificates in English, & Mathematics. Business administration S/NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
* Recognised assessor award.
