Job description


Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Competence and Training Advisor, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Work with the Senior Competence and Training Advisor in the development of existing Company
competence management systems including the inclusion of new populations and development
of competence standards.
* Support the roll out of Company competence management systems including candidate
inductions and assessor training.
* Carry out internal verification for Company competence management systems.
* Provide input into streamlining training management processes.
* Assist with the development and review of training matrices.
* Liaise with external providers of electronic training and competence systems to ensure the
effective use and that all available functionality is utilised.
* Develop effective and meaningful reports.
* Assist the Senior Competence and Training Advisor in the implementation of processes for
contractor Competence Governance including conducting desktop audits.
* Liaise with the new Integrated Services Contractor on the implementation of training and
competence initiatives to ensure they meet Company requirements.
* UK and West Africa operations. Potential requirement for offshore travel.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Experienced in the development and implementation of competence systems.
* Experienced assessor or ability to provide assessor training.
* Good understanding of operational and regulatory training and competence requirements.
* Experience of using training and competence databases such as Mintra Training Portal and eComp.
* Experience of T&C reporting.
* Experience of developing competence standards.
* Experience in using reporting tools such as Tableau or Power Bl.
* Knowledge of UK safety, health and environmental regulatory regime.
* Able to coach developing members of the team.
