Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Commercial Manager based in Aberdeen

Lead and manage the Commercial Department and all of Company's commercial activities which shall include:
Commercial compliance for:
Existing Joint Venture agreements, including decommissioning security agreements;
Existing agreements relating to access to third party infrastructure;
Existing agreements relating to the sale of hydrocarbons;
Disputes arising from any commercial agreements.
Negotiation and drafting of new commercial agreements:
With third party infrastructure owners for the development of fields;
for the establishment of new Joint Ventures, including farm-in agreements and decommissioning security agreements.
Due to the current size of the Company's team, it is expected that the Commercial Manager will also perform some of the above commercial activities as well as his/her duties as a manager.
Put in place all required commercial tools to assist in the management of the commercial activities.
Manage the commercial team including:
Assess and distribute workload;
Review and guide commercial team's work;
Provide commercial expertise to the commercial team;
Provide professional development to the commercial team.
Report to the General Counsel and Commercial Director on a regular basis on all key commercial matters.
Proactively manage existing agreements by identifying any opportunities in improving Company's existing commercial position.
Develop with his/her team and the project team and all relevant Company's disciplines robust commercial strategies for the negotiation of new agreements for fields development.
Provide support to the General Counsel and Commercial Director in the preparation of any internal documents for senior management.
Act as Company's representative in commercial forums with governmental, regulatory and industry bodies, e.g. act as Company's Commercial Champion under the Infrastructure Code of Practice and the Commercial Code of Practice. Attend OGUK Commercial Managers forums.
Collaborate and build effective working relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally and business partners across the business, influencing and negotiating with parties as required.
This position requires a professional with extensive experience in a commercial role. The candidate should either already work as a commercial manager or have developed sufficient experience to step into a commercial manager's role.

Qualifications and Experience:
Experience in negotiating agreements for the access to third party infrastructures (CTIA, TPOSA, TA, GSA, etc.).
Experience in managing Joint Ventures and associated agreements (JOA, Farm-In agreements, DSA, etc.).
Knowledge and understanding of the Commercial Code of Practice and the Infrastructure Code of Practice.
Understand economics model and ideally can run simple economics
Good knowledge of Excel.
Ability to work in a team as both a leader and player and open to new ideas.
Degree level qualification in engineering, finance, business or law. However, degree qualification is not essential depending on the level of commercial experience of the candidate in a similar role.
