Commercial Assistant

Description

We are looking for a Commercial Assistant to support the commercial lead for our clients Scottish civils projects. This position is based at our Inverness office or site based in Kilsyth for local to the area projects.

Key activities will include

  • Reporting to the commercial lead and assisting with the following:
  • Using company systems to record plant labour timesheets, material tickets, Issue plant orders and produce accurate weekly reports.
  • Subcontracts - preparation of assessments, payments, notices, final accounts.
  • Cost Reporting - assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting for legacy projects.
  • Assist with invoice clearance to agreed payment terms, raising queries with suppliers where necessary.
  • Filing and archiving of hard copy and electronic documentation as per company protocol.
  • Assist with any administrative duties required to support commercial team.
  • Ensure compliance and adherence with project and company commercial procedures to follow an agreed process for cost control.

Qualifications & Experience

  • GCSE in English, Maths and a science subject
  • Previous Industry experience would be an advantage
  • Good communication skills, be a team player and be proactive
  • Good IT skills
