Are you an experienced Claims Management Assistant, with experience in the Energy or Construction Industry, in particular EPC contracts? The below opportunity could be for you.

Our Client, a leading Oil & Gas Operator, are currently seeking Bi-lingual (English & French) Claims Management Assistant. To be based out of their Head Office in Paris.


  • Participate in drafting the Claim procedure,
  • Participate in the organisation of mini-seminars, REX and training as required.

Existing claims and disputes:

  • Develop and update tools to manage existing claims i.e. claim summary, assessment tables, team coordination, interviews guidelines etc…
  • Guide and support the projects in managing existing claim and dispute i.e. assess the merit of the claim by seeking and reviewing all relevant documentation, interview project team, built a strategy, implement strategy, negotiate with contractors etc…and work with legal and product lines as necessary,
  • Make a survey with regards to existing claim within the existing projects and identify potential involvement of COMPANY procurement entity.

Claim prevention:

  • Participate in the creation of a good practices guide,
  • Participate in defining tools and method to prevent claim and disputes,
  • Participate in defining the communication plan and broadcast of the tools,
  • Support contract and project teams in their work with regards to contract management to prevent and avoid future claims and disputes at every phase of the project and when required,
  • Define a process to prevent or mitigate Claims and disputes starting from contractual strategy and continuing during execution phase for EPC type of contracts.

Experience Required:

  • Mandatory experience in Claim management,
  • Mandatory understanding of the energy or construction projects,
  • Experience in dispute management is a plus but not mandatory (i.e. alternative dispute resolution/arbitration),
  • Mandatory experience in contract and correspondences drafting (contract engineer preferred),
  • Experience in negotiation,
  • Experience in EPC type of contracts (tendering and execution phase if possible),
  • Experience in drafting procedures,
  • High proficiency in English and French (i.e. minimum 4.5 test bright for the English),
  • All training backgrounds are welcome i.e. law, engineering, marketing etc…as long as the above criteria are met.
